Da Capo
Released in 2002, Da Capo was the final studio album released by original line-up Ace of Base. Though well received by fans, the album had very low sales due to lack of promotion (Jenny and Ulf promoted the album, while Jonas and Linn stayed home). The album was released in Europe and Japan only. As of 2008, the album had sold approximately 500,000 copies – significantly lower than the bands previous albums. The name Da Capo means “back to the beginning” and was meant to imply a return to the bands earlier sound.
Differences between album versions:
- The Japanese version contains 3 bonus tracks (as noted above)
- The German release originally had the Brunner version of Hey Darling, instead of the original. This error was corrected when more copies were made.
